StoryCloud is a children's learning and storytelling app, proudly created in Australia for kids aged 2–5 and 6–9. At its heart is a magical world of stories where children explore freely, follow their curiosity and discover new adventures, while meaningful learning happens naturally along the way.
StoryCloud combines beautifully produced audio, video and interactive read-along stories in one safe, immersive app for kids and families. Children enter an interactive world of discovery, exploring Storyland through stories, series, collections, themes, favourite characters and the interactive Storyland Map — moving through a visual story world, uncovering new adventures, places and characters as they go.
Storyland is home to 36 quirky and magical characters, each with their own personality, adventures and learning purpose. Every character connects to developmental skills and learning themes, so storytelling naturally reinforces literacy, numeracy and problem solving, life skills, social and emotional learning, digital safety, diversity and inclusion, environmental stewardship, creativity, curiosity and wellbeing. Children experience the adventure first — the learning is woven quietly into the stories.
Listen, Watch and Read experiences give children multiple ways to discover, understand and return to the stories they love. StoryCloud launches with beautifully produced Listen experiences, with interactive Read coming later in 2026 and Watch following through 2027. The same characters, adventures and ideas move naturally across formats: a child might listen to an adventure at bedtime, revisit it as an interactive read-along with a parent, then later watch that Storyland world come to life. The story stays familiar, while the experience changes.
StoryCloud is made for Australian communities. Our characters, learning framework, stories and settings are created with Australian children and families in mind, drawing from Australian environments, cultures and values while opening children to a much wider world.
Kids Mode keeps the experience simple, safe and centred on discovery. Parent Mode gives adults a quiet command centre to guide what their child explores, monitor progress and personalise the experience. Families choose from three learning modes:
Free Mode — self-directed discovery across the wider library.
Focus Mode — stealth learning: parents choose skills or goals and StoryCloud quietly prioritises relevant content while the experience still feels free.
Pathway Mode — structured progression through customisable learning pathways. The child sees stories and adventures; the adult controls how much learning sits beneath them.
Behind this is an advanced categorisation layer mapping content across learning outcomes, sub-skills, age band, theme, difficulty, context, characters and interests — letting parents move between free exploration, subtle guidance and structured pathways without turning the experience into a lesson or a dashboard.
Beneath it all sits the StoryCloud Learning Framework, our proprietary, expert-backed approach to holistic learning through storytelling. For early learners it's mapped to the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0) and aligned with Early Childhood Australia principles. It combines foundational learning with the broader skills and values children need as they grow.
StoryCloud provides authentic personalisation without losing the magic of childhood — a child can follow a favourite character, wander across Storyland, discover a new series or simply choose the adventure that looks fun.
