Utilities
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
SurgeRace is the all-in-one companion app for sailing regattas — built for skippers, crews, race officers, and spectators who refuse to miss a single tack.
LIVE RACE VIEW
• Watch the fleet in real time on a 3D/2D WebGL course.
• Live leaderboard with SOG, COG, leg progress, and online status.
• True wind compass and dynamic laylines for tactical insight.
• SOG rainbow trail to spot who's gaining — at a glance.
ON-BOARD TELEMETRY
• Stream GPS, heading, wind, and speed via the STUP v2 binary protocol.
• 15–20 bytes per sample, sub-3 ms server RTT — no lag, no dropouts.
• Master/standby auto-failover keeps your signal alive through patchy coverage.
• 30-second buffer smoothing keeps the live view fluid even on weak networks.
RACE CONTROL
• Set up courses, marks, starts, and finishes from boat or shore.
• Pin and RC-boat start line with dynamic bias.
• Frame-by-frame Catmull-Rom replay for post-race analysis.
• Export race reports (PDF) for juries and protest hearings.
BUILT FOR THE WIND
• Co-designed with pro sailors and World Sailing officials.
• Works offline — cache the course and sailing instructions before you cast off.
• Metric & imperial units, multi-language UI.
• Encrypted auth, JWT-secured, role-based access (spectator / crew / officer).
Whether you're calling tactics from the rail, trimming a spinnaker at the leeward mark, or watching your kid's Optimist race from the clubhouse — SurgeTrac puts the whole regatta in your pocket.
Get on board. SurgeRace.
