So polished I didn’t realize it was new!
I’m really impressed with the work the Taska team have put in here!
A super polished native app to manage my GitHub issues is amazing for keeping in-flow. The fewer web UIs I have to juggle, the better — it means I get to spend more time squashing bugs and adding features.
The GitHub UI really slows me down and frustrates me, so I hope to see this support PR management someday too — pushing a commit then cmd-tabbing back into Taska to double-check and leave comments would be super cool. It’s much more work to ship a full PR experience than to ship just issues, so I don’t expect it, but it would be great! ❤️
Don’t need it, but I like it anyway
Taska is a very nice native Mac interface for turning your GitHub Issues and Milestones into something that feels more like a traditional task tracker. I use it for all of my personal open source projects and while it is not exactly necessary for me to do any of the things I do, I just like it and it keeps me out of the somewhat busy GitHub web interface when I just want to focus on one project and what needs to be done in that project. In May it will have been 1 year since I originally subscribed to the app, and I’m going to keep it going. Taska & GitUp are my go-to apps for classing up my FOSS workflow.
