I have a certain amount of obsession with task manager apps. Usually what happens is I find something that works perfectly for every single thing in my whole life and it’s all I want to use forever. That is, until the gaps in the system eventually and inevitably show up. My main wish has always been to have my notes, my reminders, and my tasks all somehow integrated, but not kludged together in some unholy mess. This fills that need incredibly well. I can write down my daily notes in Obsidian, toss in a few tasks willy-nilly, and they magically show up in TaskForge. Add tags and set filters and custom lists, and the power starts showing. Reviewing my notes later and seeing exactly what I was doing without having to hold separate pieces of information in different apps and calendars is so enlightening and fun. Do I have a wishlist? Yes. Dragging tasks to reorder would be so nice. A little haptic feedback when a task is finished for my little dopamine hit would be pretty sweet. Being able to set multiple days for a task would be great for longer projects (and maybe this can be done somehow, I’m still exploring)You should get this app, try out the free premium trial for a week, and then absolutely subscribe, or, even better, buy the lifetime subscription. I did, and it’s worth it.
Fantastic companion for Obsidian TaskNotes!!!
Krelltunez
I decided to leave Todoist and have always looked for a sophisticated self-hosted option for task management. When I tested TaskNotes, I decided it will work for me, and the only reason that is the case is TaskForge! This app lets me view my tasks the way I want, including infinite grouping, sorting, etc. I purchased the lifetime priority unlock (which isn’t necessary by any means but I like to support the development of apps that I rely on). If you want to “roll your own” task management solution, check this app out - you will not regret it!
Dopest dope
ZombieJeffy
This app is incredible and dialed in to complement your obsidian vault. Extremely easy to use on an iPhone, then swap to iPad or Mac. Everything works so good. Dev seems super dope just answering questions in Reddit. Just so cool to see someone take pride in their work and want to see people enjoy it. Thanks for the dope app, thanks for answering so many helpful questions. The apps perfect but if you end up selling DLCs I’d love a catppuccin theme to match the rest of my digital life haha thanks again.
Tasks done right
THE Tiggr
I’ve used oh so many task apps in the past, and used some real good ones as well. Things 3 looks good, but is a closed basket with slow development. Todoist is decent, but dull. OmniFocus is powerful, but heavy.TaskForge is - well, its tasks done right. All tasks are in my Obsidian vault where I can access them easily, and the apps are extremely full featured.Lifetime license purchased!
