Camera and doorbell alerts now come to your TV. When Home Assistant sees motion or someone at the door, Theatrium pops up a banner with a 3-photo burst of what set it off, and you can open a live camera view with a single tap. Doorbells are recognised as doorbells, so you get "Someone's at the door" rather than a generic notice. Set the whole thing up right in the app. New Traffic card. Watch live street traffic for any location, or track your commute with real driving times, all powered by Apple Maps. No account and no API key needed. Air quality is now read correctly for every pollutant, so indoor CO2, fine particulates and the rest each score against the right scale instead of one catch-all, and the headline calls out whatever reading actually needs your attention. The music visualiser now follows each track's time signature, so a waltz or an odd-time song breathes in step with the music, and there is a new Double Time mode for extra motion. Settings has been redesigned to be clearer and easier to move around. Also fixed: - Onboarding now lets you properly pick and swap the cards you want. - The top crash from 1.4, where the live camera view could quit the app while reconnecting, is gone.

SETUP IS NOW ONE QUESTION Choose where your home data comes from and Theatrium takes you straight to a working dashboard, already filled with cards. Picking lights, music and cards moved into Settings, so nothing stands between installing the app and seeing what it looks like on your TV. Go back into Settings at any time to switch between Home Assistant and Apple Home, configure themes and layouts, lighting groups etc. IT FINDS YOUR HOME ASSISTANT SERVER Theatrium now looks for Home Assistant on your own network and fills the address in for you. A tick appears beside it once your server answers, so you know the Apple TV can reach it before you go any further. No typing an IP address with a remote, and no guessing whether the port is right. If you would rather not sign in on the TV at all, there is a second route. Scan the code on screen with your phone and approve Theatrium on your own Home Assistant page. Nothing to paste across, and no long-lived access token to create. APPLE HOME IS DETECTED PROPERLY Choosing Apple Home now asks for permission at the right moment, then waits until your accessories have finished loading before it shows the dashboard. Larger homes used to land on a half-empty screen that filled in around you over the following fifteen seconds. Moving between Home Assistant and Apple Home works in both directions now, and each Apple TV keeps its own choice instead of being pulled to whatever another set in the house is using. MUSIC Every music source is included: Apple Music, Spotify, Last.fm, Plex, and any Home Assistant media player. Album art now appears for Apple Music tracks played from your own library. Those tracks were falling back to a plain tile, which also cost them the full now-playing card with the angled cover and its reflection. On Apple Home and Apple TV only setups, the now-playing card shows a sample track until you connect music, so the dashboard looks finished the first time you see it. YOUR SETTINGS STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM iCloud sync is off unless you turn it on, under Settings then Connection. Leave it off and everything stays on the Apple TV you set it on, which is usually what you want when two televisions run different rooms. ALSO FIXED Choosing Apple Music no longer crashes the app. Weather and the rain radar find your location without any setup.
