app info says english is available… but there’s no english option on the app???

the app info in the app store says that both english and korean are languages supported by the app, but i can’t figure out where/how to change the language to english. it’s a good app overall and i like that i don’t have to go into a physical bank all the time to renew a digital certificate. it’s just annoying to have to ask korean-speaking friends for help when i can’t figure stuff out.

A very useful app for money transfer

I have been using Toss for a while now. Once you sign up successfully with a bank account, then it’s pretty easy and straight forward to transfer money. No need of any certificate or security card. If you have trouble signing up. Contact their help center through kakao talk. They will help you to complete the sign up process. Every month you get 5 free transfers. Also handy for Dutch pay :)

I really wish more Korean financial services would cater to foreigners. It is so extremely difficult for foreigners in korea to invest and perform most of the financial transactions that korean natives do so easily; the main problem is not law or regulation, its LANGUAGE SUPPORT. In that spirit, I sincerely hope the developers will include English language localization in the near future! There are over 2 million foreigners in Korea!

Believed to be easier to open account as a foreigner. ID nor Korean phone number seem to be accepted using an US phone device. To make it worse, the app stops working without any feedback on what’s happened or option to go back to change information. Frustrating experience given the hopes I had, but I hope the experience and service gets better in the future but for now I’ll have to use other financial institution’s service.
