TP–7 4+

I love how easy it is to transcribe my recorded audio from TP-7. This has been an extremely helpful tool for my professional life, and I think there are a few things that could be added to the app to make TP-7 an even more powerful tool. It’d be nice to be able to sort transcribed files by the mode they were captured in (memo vs. recorded audio). I’d like to be able to retitle transcribed audio so I can find what I’m looking for in the file list with greater ease. I also think text should be searchable, either in the file list or in the transcription; sometimes it can be difficult to find the spot you’re looking for, especially on the occasions that the cursor gets desynchronized with audio playback when the app is linked to TP-7. My last recommendation is to support landscape mode for iPad — I use the Magic Keyboard a lot when working on my iPad, and would allow me to be much more efficient in my workflow, especially when switching between apps that I’m using transcription data with.

Love my TP-7 so far but hate everything about this app. Connecting is a chore and memos that I’m able to access on device sometimes fail to show up. File transfers for the transcription are super slow. Like that you can easily export text but wish there was a way to just grab the raw file too since it seems to be sent to the app. Transcription is generally fantastic when/if your memo shows up. Hope TE continues to improve the app. Orthoplay is great so they have it in them!

I absolutely love my TP–7 and this app complements it well. As long as you turn on the Bluetooth setting on the TP-7 to search for the app, you will have an easy time connecting the two. Works as advertised. The only thing that I haven’t figured out yet is how to sync up the proper time and date with the app.
