I was in Cancun with my friends and my buddy (who speaks broken Spanish) met two girls who wanted to grab drinks on a double date. I volunteered to join in and all was well until we realized the girls don’t speak English and I don’t speak Spanish. Using my buddy as a translator we fumbled through the first 20 minutes of the date but things were not going well… until I found this app. When I got the app downloaded were off to the races. The voice to text worked well enough for us to hold a conversation and against all odds I was able to joke around with the girls. What was about to be the most awkward date of my life (and likely theirs) turned into a success story and we had a great time. We stayed out for hours enjoying drinks, appetizers, and even went dancing together. Thank you to the team that developed this app - I owe you a handshake and a cerveza.

You only allow someone to translate 2-5 things before you exceed a limit, and then want to charge $35 usd for a yearly membership? Absolutely wild. You’re not even properly letting people access your service to compare and contrast to see in the first place. Regardless of how good the service is, the inability to test it is inexcusable. I’ve test driven cars with less restrictions than that. Let me tell you one thing you can fix though so it doesn’t seem like I’m just hating. Your idiotic programmers forgot something so minor but should’ve been common sense to implement- when you type in a language in “auto detect” it’ll detect it alright, but won’t switch it to tell you which language. Fix that and then we’ll see about moving that rating to at least two stars. And that’s from like 5 minutes of use? If something so trivial yet a QOL adjustment isn’t implemented, I wonder what I could find within 10 minutes let alone a year of use! All in all, in comparison to even google translate- not worth the time to even download it. 1/10- and that’s just because it was capable to translate to be continued. Fire your team director because the ideas and implementation you can do with an “AI” assisted translator is insane. I can name a few if you’d like.

We recently went to Portugal, Spain, and France. While I do speak French, I do not speak Portuguese or Spanish…at all. This app was so helpful, particularly the camera option. I loved that I could take a picture of a menu or a product in a store and it would translate it fully! Amazing! I also used it to ask questions and find where we were going. Well worth it.

The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, which provides a good initial user experience. However, the translation speed is noticeably slower compared to competitors like Google Translate. Additionally, the requirement to take a photo before translating text, rather than enabling live scanning, limits the app's practicality for on-the-go use, such as reading signs or menus in real time.I subscribed to the one-week trial to evaluate whether the app offered any advantages over existing free options, but unfortunately, I did not find any significant improvements in functionality or performance. While I cannot comment on the accuracy of the translations due to my limited knowledge of the target language, from a utility standpoint, the app currently falls short of being competitive in the translation space.Enhancing real-time text scanning and improving processing speed would go a long way in making the app more useful for travelers and everyday users.
