It indexes the folders you already have - on your Mac, on an external drive, on a mounted share - and leaves every file exactly where it is. NOTHING IS MOVED, NOTHING IS COPIED TypeBench watches the folders you choose and builds its own index next to them. It never copies fonts into a library of its own, never moves them and never rewrites them. The app ships with a read-only file entitlement, so it cannot modify your font files even by accident.
