Unhexify lives in your menu bar and does one thing well: it turns hex into readable text, the moment you need it.
Copy a hex string anywhere, click the Unhexify icon, and see the decoded result right there. No switching apps, no pasting into a text box, no extra steps. Need to go the other way? Encode mode turns plain text into hex just as easily.
FEATURES
• Reads hex straight from your clipboard, automatically, the moment you open the menu.
• Handles common formats without cleanup: spaces, 0x prefixes, colons, and mixed case are all normalized for you. Also recognizes Base64 and JWTs when your clipboard isn't plain hex.
• Shows the source format and byte size alongside the decoded result, so you know exactly what you're looking at.
• Encode and ROT13 modes, switch between Decode, Encode, and ROT13 right from the menu.
• Choose how hex looks. Continuous, space-separated, colon-separated, C-style array, or escaped string, in upper or lower case, your call in Settings.
• A global keyboard shortcut decodes your clipboard from anywhere, no need to open the menu at all.
• Works with Shortcuts, Spotlight, and Siri, so decoding and encoding can be part of your own workflows too.
• Optional history keeps your last few results on hand for quick re-copying. Off by default, and never written to disk.
• Copy the decoded plain text or the cleaned up hex string with one click. Turn on Instant Copy and it's already on your clipboard the moment you open the menu.
• Works entirely offline. Nothing you copy ever leaves your Mac.
• Stays out of the way. Menu bar only by default, with an optional Dock icon if you'd rather keep it in your app switcher.
• Optional launch at login, so it's ready whenever you need it.

PRIVACY
Unhexify reads only your clipboard contents and never sends anything over the network. There's no account, no tracking, and no data collection of any kind.
Unhexify does not monitor your clipboard in the background. It reads the clipboard only at the moment you click the menu bar icon or use the keyboard shortcut, never continuously.
History, when turned on, stays in memory only and is never written to disk.
Privacy isn't a checkbox we tick, it's how Prevolut Ltd builds everything. Nothing leaves your Mac because nothing needs to.
