Two panels, every cloud, and AI that never leaves your Mac. Move, compare and verify files — local, remote, or inside an archive. Pro is one payment, not a subscription. Unifyl is a macOS-native dual-pane file manager that combines power-user tooling with AI that runs on your own Mac. Your files never leave it. Why Unifyl • Dual-pane — Single, dual, triple and free-split layouts. Every panel keeps its own tabs, navigation history and sort order, and workspaces save the whole arrangement. • Local-first AI — Semantic search, auto-classification, smart tagging, AI rename, duplicate detection. Every model runs on-device through CoreML on the Apple Neural Engine. No cloud, no account. • Remote and cloud — FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, SMB, S3, Backblaze B2, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive. • The work the free tier can't do — Multi-rename, text, binary and image comparison, directory comparison, folder sync with a plan preview before it runs, three-way merge, batch EXIF editing, folder-size heatmap, hex editor, File X-Ray, checksum verification. • Verify integrity after copying — After every copy and move, both sides are re-read and their SHA-256 checksums compared. On a cross-volume move the check happens before the original is deleted. The question of whether 40 GB really arrived intact stops being a question. • Keyboard first — Command palette, 120+ rebindable shortcuts, and Total Commander key compatibility: F2 rename, F5 copy, F6 move, Shift+F5 duplicate, Insert toggle-select. • Information density — Total Commander-grade compact rows show roughly 50% more files per screen. Folders always sort by name and stay pinned above files. • Undo you can see — An Undo History timeline lists this session's file operations, newest first. Expand any row for the exact files and a plain-language note of what undoing it would do. • Saved Searches — Conditions, scope folder and the subfolder setting save under a name, then reload, adjust and run. • Archives as virtual folders — Open and walk into ZIP, TAR, TAR.GZ, TAR.BZ2, TAR.XZ and GZ without extracting. Legacy CJK ZIP filename encodings are detected automatically. • Usage statistics — Bytes moved, files renamed, searches run, bucketed by month. Everything stays on this Mac and can be switched off in Settings. • Native macOS design — SF Symbols, system colors, Apple HIG compliance, full VoiceOver support, WCAG 2.1 AA. • 15 languages — English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Arabic with full RTL, Thai and Vietnamese. • Built for CJK power users — .hwpx inline preview (Hancom Office's native format), Pinyin / Romaji / Hangul-Hanja multilingual filename search, full-width to half-width search folding, EUC-KR / Shift-JIS / GBK to UTF-8 encoding conversion with Undo, and Korean government form heuristic detection. Free to download. Dual-pane work, FTP and SFTP, basic search, 12 themes, unlimited tabs and workspaces, and every CJK feature cost nothing. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and works with Family Sharing. Requirements: macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Optimised for Apple Silicon; Intel Macs supported.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

This update is about the app telling you more, and moving more gently. • A short file list now explains the empty space below it. A pane reading "4 items" could be four files, or four out of two hundred with a filter on — and nothing distinguished them. It now says which, how many of these names are also in the other pane, and what changed here recently. A folder with nothing to report stays quiet. • Undoing an operation rewinds the timeline instead of blinking: in Undo History the entry lifts out of the list and fades as the rows below slide into its place. • Every animation now respects Reduce Motion. Thirty-one places ignored the setting before, including the two largest movers — the terminal dropping over half the window, and the first-run slides. Swapping panels, opening the folder tree and changing theme are animated now too. • A few quiet asides: a word about the hour if you open Unifyl after 1am, a note that nothing moved while you were away, and a nod the first time you pass a thousand files copied. All of it is off with Settings ▸ Playful touches.
