VeloGPS gives you real-time GPS data in a clean, focused interface. See your coordinates, speed, altitude, course, heading, and barometric pressure at a glance — no account required, no data collected.
Live GPS Dashboard
View your position, speed, altitude, course, compass heading, and barometric pressure on a single screen. Choose your primary datum — coordinates, speed, or altitude — and see everything else in a secondary grid.
Interactive Map
Switch between Standard, Hybrid, and Satellite map styles. A live accuracy circle shows your GPS precision. Tap to toggle tracking mode between centered and free pan. Tap waypoint pins on the map to view details. Haptic feedback confirms every interaction.
Track Recording
Record your GPS tracks with a single tap. Saved tracks appear as colored polylines on the map. Manage tracks in a dedicated tab — rename, choose from 10 colors, toggle visibility, or swipe to delete with undo.
Live Activity & Lock Screen
Start a Live Activity to keep your speed, coordinates, altitude, and distance on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — even when the app is in the background.
Charts & Session Stats
Watch speed, altitude, and pressure trends on real-time charts with configurable time windows (1 min to 1 hour). Session statistics show distance, elevation gain/loss, max speed, average moving speed, and current grade.
Waypoints
Save your current location with a single tap. See distance to each waypoint from your current position. Tap waypoint pins on the map to jump straight to details. Swipe to delete with undo. All waypoints are stored locally on your device.
GPS Signal Quality
A color-coded toolbar indicator shows your GPS fix quality at a glance. Tap it for detailed accuracy readings — horizontal, vertical, speed, and course.
Flexible Units
Choose your preferred units for coordinates (DD, DMS, DDM, UTM/MGRS), speed (mph, km/h, knots, m/s), distance (imperial, metric), and pressure (kPa, hPa/mbar, inHg, mmHg, atm, psi).
Works on iPhone & iPad
Tabbed navigation on iPhone, sidebar navigation on iPad. Supports portrait and landscape orientations.
Private by Design
No accounts. No analytics. No servers. No third-party code. All data stays on your device. Built entirely with Apple's native frameworks.
Power Saver Mode
New Power Saver option reduces battery consumption on long rides by lowering GPS update frequency and pausing sensors when stationary.
GPX Export
Share your recorded tracks as standard GPX files — tap the share button on any track detail screen.
Smoother Charts
Charts now use EMA smoothing for cleaner speed, altitude, and pressure lines. A new GPS Activity chart shows your location update frequency in real time.
iPad Improvements
Map state is no longer lost when switching sidebar tabs. Layout adapts correctly in split-screen and slide-over multitasking.
