WatchMyEdit is one of those apps you don’t realize you need until you try it. I used to just sit around waiting for exports to finish, or worse, walk away and forget to check if something went wrong. Now, this app just watches the export for me, checks it, and shoots me an email when it's all done. So good.It’s simple, reliable, and gives me peace of mind — especially when I’m juggling multiple edits. I can actually walk away from my desk without constantly checking the progress bar. Total lifesaver for late-night exports too.

We all get push notifications on our machine when an export finishes, except from Avid, but we’re still sort of stuck babysitting the export waiting for it to finish. By having this app watch an export folder and email when the file stops changing size— I’m freed up from my desk. I don’t have to watch a progress bar to know when an export finishes. And on shared networks, I can set others to be notified too so they can take the export when they need it.

This app is saving me so much time! Editor’s like myself love pushing export and not returning to their desk until it’s complete. I’m on a project with a high turn around time, with lots of deliverables that are at least 20 minutes each. This app will send me an email when it’s done which is great so I can get back to QC quickly.
