Whid allows you to easily track your working time. You can use it for free to track your times, analyze them and export them. By putting the main point of interaction behind a simple shortcut (Cmd+. by default) and giving you simple but powerful commands for adjusting times, adding pauses and much more, Whid makes time tracking simpler and less distracting than ever.
If you want/need to book your times into a project management system like Jira, YouTrack or Asana, Whid Pro makes it easy to sync your times without the manual effort.
All data is kept locally unless you decide to sync to any other systems.
Free Features:
- Hotkey Compact Tracker
The compact tracker allows you to start/stop/pause a tracker without interfering with your workflow by opening it with a hotkey and closing with simple key presses.
- Smart Search
The compact tracker uses a smart search that puts the best fitting and most recent tasks at the top. Allowing you to track without reentering task names all the time.
- Commands
Simple commands like "task name -1h 25m" to start the task "task name" 1 hour and 25 minutes ago or "/pause 09:00-10:00" to add a pause in the tracked task between 9 and 10
- Filtering/Sorting/Grouping
Options for filtering, sorting and grouping your times can help you analyze your tracked times and get the most out of your data.
- Hierarchies
Hierarchies - similar to a folder structure - allow you to represent different levels in your work like different teams, projects and tasks.
- Export
You can export your tracked times as CSV files in case you want to use them outside the app.
- Time Rounding
You can round your times when you stop tracking a task or when you sync with a project management system.
- Automatic Backups
Whid can create automatic backups to prevent data loss in case something goes wrong. These can also be automatically created in iCloud, Google Drive etc. by choosing the corresponding file path. You can also manually create a backup at any time.

- Sync Times
PRO allows you to sync your times to project management systems. This reduces the manual effort of entering your times.

Improvements:
- Fully deleting a task now has an extra confirmation step to avoid accidental deletions.
- Filter button shows an indicator when the filter is active.
- Manual backup creation shows success/failure message.
- Width of task popups is now adjustable to improve usability with longer task names.
- Time zone changes are now detected without having to restart the app.
Fixes:
- Tray icon was not always changed on starting and stopping tracking of a task.
- Negative times could be displayed without "-" in some cases.
