I typically don’t write a review, but couldn’t help on this one. This app is nowhere ready for customer use. The blinds look great and I wish it also worked as seamlessly. I got a matter motor and they recommended me to buy a gateway box. I couldn’t connect the blinds through the gateway. Blinds connected directly with Alexa. Works when it does. However they are frequently disconnected from Alexa. This app is a joke. Barely any features work. If connected through Alexa, blinds can no longer be controlled through the app. When only connected through the app, blinds frequently go offline to the point I cannot control the blinds through app or Alexa. Remote is the only option. Not sure if there is any point having the automation features in this app if any of them barely work. Yoolax- please fix your app. I paid quite a bit to install my entire house with your blinds just to find out I can barely control automatically. The blinds look great though.

Their motors are defective to begin with. Low quality lithium ion batteries, bad control circuit design, cheaply built. 2 of the 5 blinds I got a year ago can not be discovered by Alexa. And now Alexa asks you to setup the blinds in Yoolax app before connecting to Alexa. In the app, they tell you to push the H button for 6 seconds to put the motor into pairing mode. But on the manual that came with the blinds, that operation turns the motor off! To put it into pairing mode, the manual says 4x quick press and 1x long press. Still the app can not find the motor when it’s in pairing mode. And if you contact tech support, they tell you to buy new motors because they had updated to new models, and of course the remote has a new look too. Imagine have 5 different remote for 5 blinds in your living…just avoid this company

I was loving this app. Had no trouble setting it up, even got it working with Alexa thanks to another reviewer's tip about how to do that (have to add the shade as a sub device to the BLE Gateway Pro).Then all of a sudden the Yoolax app stopped working for me and would not allow me to log in, giving me an error message that said "network is unavailable" even though my internet is working just fine. I tried deleting and reinstalling the app and after I did that it would no longer work with Alexa and the only way I could operate the blind was with the physical remote.Update: I emailed customer support and within one two days they emailed me back to tell me my problem was caused by a bug that they found and fixed. Sure enough, I was able to log back in and use everything as before. 4 stars because getting everything set up is a hassle, and because the network connection is iffy even though we have fast fiber internet, the shade is not far from the router, and we are using a wired connection for our gateway device.

The 27 one star reviews are unfair. The integrations with Google and Alex work, but not as per the guided steps. Once in the Yoolax app, make sure to pair your BLE Gateway with the blinds: (A) 5s hold on the blinds, blinks blue; then (B) in the app, tap BLE gateway, BLE sub-device, and detect the blinds via Bluetooth. This is not in the user manual. It works beautifully via voice now. I’d give it 5-stars, but the user manual missed this important step.
