I installed Zellige on both my desktop and 8 year-old MacBook. At first, it worked reasonably well on the laptop with some annoying glitches (shapes not showing up on one session, only to work fine on the next). The past several times I’ve tried to use it on the laptop have proven to be useless. The program opens just fine, but all I’m getting is a blank screen, even when I select a starter shape.I have Mojave installed on my desktop and have been using this app to make designs for the past week. If you’re new to Islamic geometric art, this app will take some getting used to as you have to memorize what shapes fit together in a seamless fashion. I’m getting the hang of it. Tip: Practice with the screenshots that are posted above to get a feel for how this program works. You’ll also find a couple of YouTube videos that will take you through the design process. The only thing I find lacking is the ability to add a pattern on the shapes, once you have your tile finished. I like how you can export your design as a PNG or SVG to edit in Illustrator.
Thank you very much, for your important feedback. An updated version was uploaded today and will soon be available in the App Store.
