A puzzle where chess pieces hit targets.
Numbered squares are targets. Place pieces so exactly that many attack each target. A 0 is protected: nothing may attack it. Match every target and the next board is right there.
The daily rush
• Twenty boards, one after another, growing from 3×3 to 6×6.
• Three hearts. Too many attacks turns a number red and costs a heart; lose all three and the rush is over.
• Everyone gets the same sequence each day. Boards come from the date, not a server, so you and your friends play the same rush.
• Sundays are the SUNDAY RUSH: two 4×4 warm-ups, and the last five boards are 7×7.
The pieces
• A rook attacks along its row and column, a bishop along its diagonals, all the way to the edge and through other pieces.
• Knights arrive from board 10: two squares out, one to the side.
• No chess needed. A three-board tutorial shows it on the board instead of explaining it.
