Vinyl is the ultimate app for record collectors.
The Collection
Keep track of the records you own. Use the search tab to find records by artist, album title, or catalog number. Tap on a record and hit the plus button in the top right to add it to your collection. Premium users can also scan barcodes or use our AI-powered record cover scanner to quickly identify and add records.
The Wantlist
Keep track of the records you want to buy. Open this tab next time you’re crate-digging so you don’t forget anything ... or accidentally pick up something you already own! When you finally snag a record from your wantlist, tap it and use the record icon in the top right to move it to your collection.
The Feed
Check out everything your friends are adding to their collections and wantlists. Discover new music through their latest finds, get inspired by their taste, and maybe even spot a record you’ve been meaning to add yourself.
Pro Tip: Tags & Shuffle
Not sure what record to spin? Use tags to organize your records, and the shuffle button to make the choice for you. Create tags like “Morning Approved” for coffee-friendly spins, “Chill” for relaxing vibes, or “Housequake” when it’s time to get the party started. Add our random record widget to your home screen for quick, on-the-spot suggestions.

- Dark mode is now available to all users! Now you can browse your collection late at night without straining your eyes.

- With your Vinyl Premium subscription you can now rate your records on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Let's be honest ... everyone has some one-star records in their collection.

- Everyone makes mistakes. In the last updated we accidentally removed a much-loved feature. Record counts are now back!

- You can now sort your Wantlist the same way that you sort your Collection.

New Premium Feature - Sleeve/Media Quality:
- With your Vinyl Premium subscription you can now keep track of the quality of your records using the Goldmine Standard.
The Record View:
- We gave the record view a visual refresh. The notes, quality, track list, and versions look better than ever.
Multiple Copies:
- We rebuilt the way that you can manage having multiple copies of the same record. With this update, you now have two different ways to approach the multiple copies problem: you can add the same record to your collection multiple times or you can add multiple versions to one record.

-Every record has a story. For example, I found the Prince Batman soundtrack at Monster Melodies in Paris. Previously, those stories were subject to the human memory. Now you can add digital notes with the brand new notes feature. Tap the three dots on the top right of the record view, scroll to the bottom, and type away.

-A bunch of tiny bugs have been fixed. If you're still experiencing issues, please use the contact support button on the settings page.

-In the last version we introduced the ability to add a record from Discogs link. Now, we made it a little easier by letting you load the Discogs search page and even tracking when you've copied a Discogs link.

-There's a brand new tab that gives makes it easy to switch to dark mode, contact support, and export your data.
*New Feature: Export to CSV
-If you need to get your data into a CSV file you can use the new export button on the settings tab. Once the file is generated you can send it anywhere you need.
*New feature: Release management
-Sometimes you end up with more than one copy of a record. Now, you can keep track of each version you have by swiping on the release cells from the record view. A little purple bar will show up next to the ones in your collection.
