To me, the best and most fun part of the app was interacting with friends through emojis that described the content; it felt like such a cool form of non-verbal communication. I also loved that others could view my profile via a link without needing the app installed. The feed looked great with the customizations, and being able to reorder items was definitely a highlight.Now that these features are gone, IMO the app just doesn't make much sense anymore 😔 plus, I’ve lost everyone I was following. I’m going to take a break for a while and see what future updates bring :)

Hi! We hear you and if this explanation is any consolation: we got to thinking and realized we wanted to double down on what Shelf really is - a place for you to keep track of your stuff, see your patterns, and understand what your media consumption says about you so that's what we did with the focus around platform connections and identifying immediate consumption. Giving you the option of self-expression (through reactions or something else) and having an activity feed are things that are high priority for us!! We plan on bringing features like these back in a future update and we hope that when we do, we'll earn that 5-star review from you

I loved this app because of how I could track the media I was consuming, which was constantly changing, and how I could organize my favorite books, movies, albums and shows into folders. I literally had a “comfort movies” and a “must watch” folders that I didn’t want to lose, and with the new update it’s all gone because it groups everything in it’s respective sections (which you need a specific app to add because if I can’t add my Spotify I can’t save my music), and I can no longer have my “media I’m currently obsessed with” section, which was the shelf itself. I feel like the app lost its purpose and I hate how it’s designed now to be more commercial, instead of more of a comforting space where we shared our interests.

la app era literalmente perfecta hasta que hicieron esa actualización que perdes a todos tus seguidores, te elimina todo el progreso y solo podes agregar estantes si tienes la app vinculada, y si no usas ninguna de estas 2 apps locas, no puedes agregar estantes…. arreglen su app ;-; todos los q conozco se la desinstalan por eso, osea no se en que pensaron. :/
