The new CARRIS app, launched in 2024, is a step backward. It’s absurd that users can buy tickets but must load them onto a separate card, rather than directly on their smartphones like in other major European cities. This oversight complicates what should be a straightforward process. However, this app fits well into the image of a completely inefficient transportation system.
