The Apple account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and will state the cost of renewal. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. Subscriptions may be managed by the user, and auto-renewal may be turned off by updating the user’s App Store Subscription settings after purchase. Great magazine, poor app

I love the articles and overall style of the New Yorker but the app is really horrible. On my iPad Air 2 the app gets stuck on an infinite loading loop so I can’t select any article or menu point in the app, article links are opened but also can’t be scrolled down to read. The support so far couldn’t help me either - so my subscription is worthless atm.

Not being able to set the content text size in the app and instead being forced to use the system-wide OS setting is the laziest way of programming. Such a shame for otherwise nice app.
