The kid in the red bandana who's always thirty seconds ahead at the park run. People you'll see again next month, next year, or never — and want to remember either way. Rival files them all on one card each. THE CARD Every rival gets a perforated dossier card. Name. Sport (or sports). A one-line note — the thing you'd whisper to a teammate before the match starts. "Lefty serve, dies on backhand." "Elbows. Always elbows." That line is the soul of the card, and it's hard-capped at eighty characters so it stays a line. THE TALLY Tap to add a W, L, D, or "played with." No scores, no dates, no venue — just the count of how often your paths crossed. The number on the card grows over years. OPPONENT OR PARTNER Same person, both sides of the net at different times? Flip the side. Both stamps stay. THE DECK Filter by sport. Filter by side. Tap a card to share it as an image. Retire the ones you'll probably never see again — they move to a Retired stack, never deleted, because you always run into them again eventually. WHAT RIVAL IS NOT Not a workout tracker. Not a stat sheet. Not a social app — nobody else sees these cards, nobody gets notified, the other person doesn't know they're in here. No login. No internet. No notifications. Everything stays on this device. It's the mental note you already make, written down on an actual card.
