Oh, and I love the privacy features. No location services, no nothing. Just the ability to save photos.

Hi, glad you love it! Many users requested to use their current location to generate a map, so I've added it as an option. The location is only used for half a second to focus the map and never store or transmitted anywhere. Atlas will never ask you for your location unless you ask it to first :)
