Acceptable app with more features you’d expect
While Beamafilm might not have pictures in picture viewing or a watchlist. It has what you’d expect: a quality control (looking at you Netflix), and thanks to my local library it’s free (although it’s slightly finicky to sign up but I suspect the library is to blame).
App crashes on my iPad
This app crashes soon after it loads. Menu and film menus display but any attempt to press any crashes the app? More successful was the access through a browser, Safari on my iPad in my case. Not sure what the problem is.
There are different bad problems with access through browsers. Whatever the problem, with the app and browser access, it should be stated very clearly that this app is highly unsuitable for people with Apple Macs, at least those who operate with iPads and/or Apple TVs. No matter how many times Beamafilm have been alerted to the many problems, nothing ever seems to be done about fixing the many glitches nor stating up front clearly the only setups that will give reliable experiences.
Fast and Great Content
The Beamafilm App is extremely good I have been using the service for a while and the App has clearly been updated to fix the bugs that were previously a problem.
The content is great and it’s amazing to receive all of this and receive access just with my library card.
Can not recommend this enough. I stream straight from my phone to my tv through my Google Chromecast or by my Apple TV.
