BlueDriver is a professional diagnostic scan tool and the App is free to install but does require the purchase of the BlueDriver Bluetooth® OBD2 Sensor to communicate with your vehicle. The Sensor is sold separately under the 'More' tab in App or at www.BlueDriver.com. Repair Reports can be generated without purchasing a Sensor by tapping 'Repair Reports' > 'New Report' and entering the VIN and Trouble Code.
The BlueDriver Sensor simply connects to your data port located inside your car near the steering wheel. Every car made since 1996 has a data port. BlueDriver has global vehicle compatibility and can be used anywhere in the world.

Great!
It gives me more info about the workings of my car than I know what to do with. I haven’t had to deal with any warning lights yet, but it let me see the exact deliberate calibrated error of my dashboard speedometer (it reads about 4Kph higher than my actual speed).
If you are easily overwhelmed by information overload this may take some getting used to, but you can pick the main things you want to see live and not worry about anything else.
For anyone wanting to know, I drive a 2018 Subaru BRZ.
Easy to use
Easy to use and very informative. Need to spend more time watching videos on how to understand the data it delivers. I’m starting to get more of an idea now. But if you don’t need to understand why but what’s wrong then straight off the bat it’s perfect. Unfortunately you have to have the motor running where other scanners I have you only have to have the key on. Live info is good but turning the phone to landscape it won’t alter the screen. Updates are easy. Erasing and obtaining codes etc no problems. Happy so far and best of all one time cost and your always up to date. Aussie cars it doesn’t pick up vins etc but still does all the basics and more. I would recommend this tool to the amateur and professional.
NOT a Bluedriver
Finally I can feel assured that when there are symptoms in my car I need no longer at the mercy of mechanics who may or may not be dishonest or worse incompetent.
It was as easy to set up as the App directed. One only has to re listen to the instructions to see where we are in error.
My first report says all is well and that is what we want to hear.
I can now relax on my long trips round Australia toeing a van because whatever might go wrong I know mow I have this portable mechanic to advise and comfort me.
Money well spent.
