Body.Scratch is an immersive game for 8-16 y.o. youngsters to learn programming in a full-body experience. The game is made of a paired phone and desktop app: - The phone camera reads your steps/gestures - The desktop displays what you are creating lively 1min to set up and you're good to go! The players can create visual art, animations and games with the blocks of code they generate. ------- We have immersive challenges at the core of how to learn: - REVERSE ENGINEERING, to understand how programs work by starting with the end result and breaking it down, have immersive challenges at the core of how to learn - ALGORITHMIC OPTIMIZATION, to come up with relevant shortcuts to design the body.code with design patterns and smartly utilize your energy - CREATIVE EMBODIMENT, to make creative connections between programming concepts and gestures to find flow in real-time - DEBUGGING, to dissect the ins and outs of why a body.code doesn’t work by observing its algorithmic flow All of this is in a playful, healthy and immersive manner!
