App a little way behind browser capabilities

Need to have a search function in the app. It really holds it back. It’s much more user friendly on a web browser. I hope they can fix this asap as I really like the content and want to support sports journalism.

Very disappointed

Just subscribed, adding to my existing subscription to The Australian and then noted that there is no IPad app - just the IPhone app on the IPad - I hate that. Especially when you download the app your IPad. I suppose I should have checked first but instantly regretted signing on for 12 months. Given the apps in the News stable have IPad apps it is very disappointing that there is not dedicated IPad app. I’m never surprised there are problems with Aussie apps in contrast to the overseas apps (WSJ, The Athletic, The Times etc) which run without glitches.Also, so far, most importantly, the articles I’ve read on the site, I’ve then come across them at free sites or at the Australian subscription. It was a rash decision which I regret. I should have gone for the free trial rather than the discount for 12 months.

I am enjoying the articles I read, however find the app itself problematic. Sports ordering is prescribed, you can’t list in order of preference. This means I’m constantly having to scroll through articles on sports of no interest to me like aussie rules, pressing “Other”, before getting the opportunity to see any stories on football, for example.It would be a far better tool if I could list the sports in preferential order.

I’ve found the need to keeplogging in in order to see my settings. At one point I was offered a new subscription offer and now somehow I have two subscriptions with two monthly fees but can’t see where I can unsubscribe from the second one (or is it the first one?) as only one shows up on my account. Also I cannot login to games the screen keeps flashing on and off trying to log in. Very glitchy. Also rugby league is poo and can gth.
