I’ve been using this app for a few months now, it is a good app if you have the correct meter that is pairs with, the countour next one. I was using it manually with the countour next but it only allows for 30 days of use when inputting the data in manually, even though the meter is from the same company. The good thing is you can get the countour next one for free from there website however I did experience a lot of difficulty actually getting mine. I placed my order in October and had to contact them directly after 2 weeks as I didn’t receive it. Then received the wrong meter mid November, but thankfully received the correct meter today and have now connected it to the app and done my first reading on it. It is a lot easier then manually inputting the data, I can already tell it will save me time and effort. It’s just a shame that it took so long to be able to use it correctly.

I am DELIGHTED with this app - huge praise from a non-tech-head… For two whole months we’ve been dealing with the volcanic upheaval & fallout of uncontrolled type 2 diabetes on top of other extremely serious health issues. We were given a Contour BG Meter at the beginning with basic instruction. I am NOT technically minded, so with too much going on in crisis mode, I shelved the app part. Just not one skerrick more brain space to process even the tiniest extra piece of information, no matter how useful and life changing it could be… IF ONLY I could’ve had somebody install the app on my phone for me and give me hands-on training at the beginning of all this … well, that would’ve been a sixth star addition to the Contour rating…This app is BRILLIANT! No handwritten transferring of info from device to GP. All done! Capacity to take photos & have them filed in the right place for future reference - no diary keeping.Seeing trends and patterns when life takes over and we start to slip. Done! What a huge weight off my shoulders as the carer…. All the contact info of all the treatment team in one place - and capacity to send through reports without laboriously composing emails when I’m so tired I’ve been falling asleep while I’m typing and “sleep-send” emails that are just gobbledegook… Done!Well done, Contour. I’ve probably missed lots of stuff that’s brilliant, but in the time available it’ll just have to do for now. THANK YOU, and God bless you all :-)

Great meter, if only...

I have found the Contour Next One meter a great step up from the previous Contour Next meter. The app makes the data easy to read and understand. I’m also a visual learner, so the colours, size of font and layout work well with me. My only criticism is that it doesn’t link to my Mini Med pump. I have to now manually input my results. Not a big thing to have to do, granted, but it does seem a step backwards and that is puzzling. Overall a very good meter and app - it just needs to be able to directly link to the pump.

Most annoying app, but sadly necessary as recommended.

So frustrating trying to enter in a manual reading for 9:27pm today but the time kept on jumping back to 12:30 am and would not let me enter in the reading at the correct time. Also the UI on this app is the most frustrating thing I’ve ever used on an iPhone. The display constantly jumps back and forth. When I try to enter the date, the app keeps closing because the date sliders field is near the bottom bar. There’s also no option to view dates and times of saved photos, and no way to set a date and time for when you eat food. I don’t understand the purpose of the location icon on the list of readings—how does recording your location help with diabetes management? Please remove the location icon.
