Day One 4+

This app is the way I always hope apps to be written. Its interface, and the very simple and instinctive learning curve (not that there is one - it really just makes sense almost straight away) are something that make you feel that your payment has an immediate return rather than some software's period of looking at tutorials just to start using it. It's pretty software, smart, its more automated applications are well integrated. In the end, its what you expect to get when you look at journalling software, or get into journalling of any type. That, plus the fact that the very few times I've had problems (most have been my end), their support is very quick, very friendly, always helpful (and integrated with the software). This is easily the best software I have ever purchased. All developers of any software could look at what this does right and know they're on the right track.

This app on my Mac is only second to probably Microsoft Word in terms of longitivity. I've had it since my highschool days, throughout the years I've stopped and restarted multiple times due to laziness and other adult reasons. But it's always there, it's there when I have breakdowns in life, it's there when I meet a new girl, it's there when I want to tell a secret to myself.
I know the backend was updated and optimized many times throughout the years, but the idea of a clean journal is still shining till today.
And the support team is great too, I've lost my previous account when I had my new laptop but the support team answered my questions in a timely fashion.
I guess I would keep this app on my phone till who knows how long, even though I don't use half of it's features.
Again, great app.

Day One has really made journalling more accessible. I've been writing my journals on paper, which can easily exhaust my hand from writing too much. There's also that fear that someone can find my journal and read through it. With Day One, I can easily write an entry directly from the top bar of my Macbook, write whatever I feel like there, hit Save, which will automatically be saved in the application. For security, to write the entry from the top bar of the window doesn't require you entering your passcode, which makes it so accessible. But if you want to open the app, you can se up a password or you can use your fingerprint if you're using Macbook touch. Honestly so happy I discovered this. Thank you for making journalling easy.
