Not good enough for a premium manufacturer

The app can’t consistently manage or even REMEMBER the speaker set up that worked at time of last use with the app. The speakers think they are enrolled in the app but the app does not display them even though they were registered to the app last night and nothing has changed! Then it is necessary to step through the same troubleshooting power-off reboot reset procedure over and over again. It fails 3 times out of 4 until you score the one time the app and speakers work together. 1-3 hours of trouble shooting to get an outcome. No repeatable troubleshoot works the same each time.

Then there is the complete public relations flop of discontinuing the Spark app and adopting the Devialet App with no communication to registered owners whatsoever on the transition. When I speak to Devialet support it is clear they know something is very wrong but they don’t know how to fix it. All they can provide is sympathy.

After the massive delay for an Aiplay 2 capability promised “shortly” after I bought my speakers, Devialet solved the problem with an App that is so inconsistent that for me it is time to connect the cords, forget Bluetooth for Devialet forever and delete the succession of terrible l apps that keep leaping backwards as they are updated. One of the worst ever integrations in the market to the Apple ecosystem. Certainly not up to the premium price paid for the speakers.

Great app, intuitive operation, seemless functionality. Second only to the devices it runs. If you love all things Devialet ~ Opéra de Paris as I do, you’ll find this app an essential completion piece that allows you to individualise, balance & sculpt your ideal soundscape across all Devialet devices expanding, exciting & saturating your senses. Every time I fire up my speakers, weather it be my twin Phantoms, Dione, twin Mania speakers or my Gemini buds it’s a thrilling feeling that never goes away and I feel blessed and very grateful to the Devialet wizards for being able to dream conjure and deliver such awesome speakers and for enriching my own and others listening pleasure. Thank you very much 🙏
