I’ve been listening to, creating and collecting Podcasts since before they were called Podcasts! Downcast is simply the best way for to manage, listen to and share the podcasts I love and make. I just hope they work closer with Adam Curry and the podcast2.0 team - that would make the best player even better!!! And get them 5 stars!!
Different but great at what it does

This is a different kind of podcast app and it has settings that most other apps don‘t even offer. It uses some slightly technical terms, but the functionality can be really useful. My favourite setting is that you can turn off updates for a podcast - perfect for a show that you still want to keep around so you can go back to old episodes, but you don‘t want to listen to any of their new episodes.
Downcast, makes me smile.

If any app has stood the test of time, it is downcast. A wonderful player which I’ve been using since it was recommended to me in 2015. With global, playlist, and individual episode settings, combined with speed increases the abilities backwards and forwards as well as export and import to to the app, as well as accessibility with VoiceOver from go to it’s the best.
Best Podcast App

I have tried so many Podcast aps trying to find one that did what I want it to. Finally!! I can set the speed for each podcast. The podcasts actually download automatically. The go into my playlist in the correct order. It actually starts again where o last stopped listening. I’ve only had the app crash once. So happy!
