Description

Keep track of the foods recommended by Dr. Greger in his New York Times Bestselling book, How Not to Die, and now his new book, How Not to Diet.

The 21 Tweaks feature, based on How Not to Diet, also provides a weight tracker. The weight tracker can use HealthKit to either save manually entered weight values or to read weight data from HealthKit enabled scales.

In the years of research required to create the more than a thousand evidence-based videos on his website NutritionFacts.org, Michael Greger, M.D, FACLM, has arrived at a list of what he considers the most important foods to include in a healthy daily diet.

Dr. Greger’s Daily Dozen details the healthiest foods and how many servings of each we should try to check off every day. He explains his rationale in his book How Not to Die.

All his proceeds from his books, DVDs, and speaking engagements are all donated to charity.

NutritionFacts.org is a non-commercial, non-profit, science-based public service provided by Dr. Greger, providing free daily updates on the latest in nutrition research via bite-sized videos. He has nearly a thousand videos on every aspect of healthy eating, with new videos and articles uploaded every day.

Like this app, everything on the website is both free of ads and free of charge.

Best Weight Loss App

I have used this app every time I have needed to shed a few kg's and it works every time. Even if you don't use the weightloss tweaks section it works. I typically lose a kilo per week or two just by sticking to a WFPB diet. Plus, with this app it feels like you're not trying to eat less and starve yourself like normal diets, it feels like you are trying to eat as many of the food groups as possible so it's a nice experience not to feel that "lacking" vibe from a diet. Taking a walk with my son after dinner at sunset has been a really beautiful thing to incorporate too 🥰
Oh, and most importantly, all of the food is cruelty free 🫶🌱 Thanks Dr Gregor 🙌

Dr Greger da real MVP 😺🌱

This app is awesome! It's really simple and easy to use, which I think is important.
Perhaps in the future developers will consider adding an 'accounts' feature, so users could track their progress using the daily dozen over time.
Couldn't forgive myself for giving Greger any less than five stars ✨; for this app and for all his hard work that benefits the public-and in turn humanity-in so many ways! 🙌🏻🍌

Great App but wrong time zone

This app is simple and easy to use. Tracking my progress throughout the day is a simple touch of phone.
This is only me second day using the app but I have noticed this morning that the date is wrong, it was still showing yesterday’s entry and I could not change the date via the date wheel at the top of the screen and pressing “back to today” just took me to yesterdays date. I also couldn’t find anything in the settings. Could be a time zone thing, I am an Aussie but the app should really sync to my phones time zone so that I can get an accurate tracker no matter where in the world I live.
