I’m mostly interested in the live data feed and I don’t think the display is helpful. A lot of flashing graphics that aren’t easy to interpret. I prefer the PowerPlay display but had to change to this app.

The most basic function of displaying current consumption (Live Data Feed) requires a PhD and sharp eyesight to look for a single word in small font; the PowerPlay app did this so well; EdgeConX is well below standard. [Hint: improve it.] Aspects of the UI are really quite difficult to interpret, some parts arguably meaningless. I asked my partner to interpret some of the data - the interestingly named ‘Today’s Usage which also gives weekly, monthly and yearly data which is something approaching a technicolor yawn in its presentation - after a good deal of time just gave up without understanding. It has me thinking that the development team needs assistance in what makes a good, workable UI. And now the Weekly Report has stopped arriving. Otherwise, and with persistence, there is value to be exploited to help make energy saving decisions. But it could be so, so much better.

Initially I had some teething problems but the last several months it has been working perfectly. I have very high mains voltage which continually put my solar inverter offline. This unit presented a much lower voltage so my inverter is now happy and now no trouble at all. The app has been greatly improved and I reference it frequently. I am a technical man and the dollars and cents results it displays aren’t a lot of interest as I concentrate on what my voltages are and the usage components displayed. The guys I have dealt with have been very helpful and easy to deal with. Great work fellas. 5 out of 5 for the app and desktop access software.
