eGiving facilitates the electronic collection of Tithes & Offerings for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the South Pacific Division.
The app enables the returning of tithes and giving of offerings using Credit or Debit card. Offerings can be given to any church at any time from anywhere.
The app allows setting defaults for church and Credit/Debit card to make repeat giving easy. To change the default Credit/Debit card, tap on the respective card on the Profile screen.
For those who wish to schedule planned giving, the app allows recurring transactions on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Recurring transactions can be edited and deleted within the app. Please note, that when creating a recurring transaction, the first donation is made immediately, and subsequent transactions occur at the selected scheduled interval. When editing a recurring transaction, the first donation also takes place immediately. It may therefore be better to delete an existing recurring transaction and create a new recurring transaction at the time when you want the first recurring transaction to take place. You can edit/delete recurring transactions by swiping left on the respective recurring schedule on the Profile screen.
The app allows the viewing of the full giving history for registered users.
To facilitate the highest quality app, some usage information, such as app crashes are collected through the Bug Snag platform. Access to this platform is restricted to the Product Manager for the eGiving app at the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Needs more clarity
Have been using the app for years, but still struggle each time to use it because I don’t find it intuitive to get to the page I want. Particularly getting to and from the “Your Gifts” page to the “Select Planned Giving” page. Found the old version much easier to figure out.
When using the “Quick Give” option, it is not clear whether funds are being allocated as tithe or offering. The description “Give a gift to the ministry of the church you are attending” makes it sound like the gift will go to the “local church ministry” of the selected church. It wasn’t until I received the receipt that I realised my donation had been allocated as tithe, which was not what I intended.

User interface design issues
Wherever there is a long summary of what the account is for you can’t scroll down to the field to enter an amount - it flicks back to the top. So I can not for instance pay to “sundown sessions”.
To add multiple amounts you have to click on “+ more options” in tiny print to add each one. Not obvious.
The app looks great, but is more difficult to use, less intuitive, and functionality (credit card only) decreased. As a computer programmer for many years I’ve got to give this App a fail. The suggestion given to comments about direct debit in reviews to “use web site” just reflects an attitude that shows how great the fail really is.
