Hmmm the art style and Sage with the twins
Well I started playing this game because of The Arcana. Tbh I was hoping that its art style and graphics would be kind of similar to the Arcana. Well it is good but I’m still a little disappointed. And also the updating speed... I guess it’s because there are a lot of characters and other series to complete as well but I was hoping that it could be a little faster. Also I was hoping there would be free ways to earn stars like the Arcana? Now I’m just waiting for Sage’s new chapter to come out in March. But again this is a new game I’ll probably update this review. Sorry if this review doesn’t make sense lol English is my third language.
Just a few things
There needs to be more ways to get stars easily!!!
I’m not comparing the stories or art style with the arcana, they’re different games and it would be boring if they were the same in that aspect. BUT, the way to get stars should be the same as getting coins in the arcana. Making fun mini games, or even the few daily adds that will have some gain.
Also, why are some character routes locked? I wanna play Tess’ route
Has potential
Pros: Art is lovely, stories are decent.
Cons:
If you compare the app to The Arcana, it leaves a lot to be desired.
The lack of ability to unlock chapters permanently (and their ‘paid’ dialogue choices) leaves little incentive to read star options. Yet skipping those breaks immersion when the story continues on as if you HAD read them.
The inability to re-read previous chapters easily makes it difficult to follow the stories when there’s a long delay between updates. There have also been smaller immersion-breaking elements (such as illogical costume changes, references to choices you didn’t make, etc) that show a lack of planning.
Theres no gallery to view the rare CGs.
Ultimately it feels like there was less effort and planning put into these stories, and the reading method just doesn’t work as well as it does for The Arcana. I find myself not interested in updates because the stories are hard to follow, and will likely only read them when they are fully completed.
