Flow - Focus & Pomodoro Timer 4+

I have tried out a handful of the pomodoro timer apps on the AppStore and while a lot of them can do what Flow can do, I found Flow to best suit my needs. The interface is simple and clean and there’s stats for tracking how many timers you have completed. Like most other available pomodoro timer apps, there is a subscription service offering but unlike a lot of the other ones i found Flows to be reasonably priced and they also offer a one time purchase option. While Flow may not have all the features that some of the other apps on the AppStore might have, I think it accurately captures most of the necessary functionality of a pomodoro app and if you want some extra features or to support the devs, the subscription service is fairly priced. Would recommend!

Great app that does exactly what is says and is nicely designed. I wasn't clear that iCloud syncing across devices was a Pro feature, but I've subscribed for a week's trial to determine if its worth it. I also counldn't figure out how to have the app send notifications when a flow or break ends, so I know to move on. Finally, I would like to the see the calendar sync support Google Calendar, rather than the stock Apple Calendar app (which I don't use because I use Cron).

You don't need Flow Pro to sync your stats across devices. Your completed sessions are usually automatically synced between your devices via iCloud. Just make sure iCloud is enabled for Flow on your devices.

You'll also need to allow notifications for Flow in your System Preferences.

I love how simple this app is with the minimalistic design and how easy it is used. I also love the way it records your flows in Google Calendar, I can reevaluate my day and see how productive I was today. That being said, there are some features I wish to be implemented, for example, I don't think there is a way I could stop a Flow mid way through or maybe continue a pre existing flow. I also wish to have the option to plan my flows for the next day, so something maybe a feature where you can set up tasks and set up how many flows it might take to finish said task, that would definitely help me plan my day even better. But overall, I love this app as a Podomoro app!

Hi Daniel, thank you so much for sharing your detailed feedback! Please make sure that the option "commitment mode" is disabled in order to stop/continue a Flow. With commitment mode enabled, you can’t pause, skip or reset the timer. It’s used for self-control, if you tend to pause the timer too often and lose focus as a result.

Thanks for your feedback regarding a task manager! We agree that this would be a great feature. Before we integrate our own task manager, we plan to integrate third-party productivity apps such as Things, Todoist or Apple’s Reminder App. It's still too early to say what integration will be possible.
