I looked at other bridge apps and found that Funbridge was the best, although considerably more expensive than most. My only gripe is that the app doesn’t allow the player to choose or alter the preferred system. Preferences don’t exist and the overall system is a basic 5-card majors. Another, and relatively minor issue is the diamond system. To compete in some, supposedly free, tournaments one has to buy diamonds. This seems excessive on top of the hefty subscription fees. Otherwise it’s an extremely well-designed and effective app that offers serious opportunity to enjoy and improve the games of bridge players at all levels.
A bidding nightmare

The bidding is incomprehensible even at the least complex setting. Supposedly, you can set your own bidding system but that is actually choosing from a wide range of advanced conventions “packages” you have never used, rather than being able to choose just the ones you want. The playing is much more straight forward although the robots are totally unforgiving - like playing every hand against a world champion team. There are no levels of play for the robots. They use the full power of their (excellent) algorithm in every deal. By the time you play your 2nd our 3 rd card, the robots have already determined where every card sits based on the bidding, dummy’s cards and their own signaling. Playing therefor feels more like doing a sudoku puzzle than playing a card game. The replay option however is very handy to learn from your mistakes and see how you could have made the contract. Overall, it is a good program to play but the bidding setup is too diabolical and the robot’s play is too full on to make the experience real or “fun”. Just a good bridge learning tool.

What is happening with a Funbridge? I have been using the app for quite some time. It’s a quite expensive product for a games app yet I have seen quite a lot of errors lately. With bidding, with card play and with allocating tricks ie sometimes to the wrong team, there is computer inconsistencies and often just clear errors.When I raised errors with the Funbridge team, and then subsequently asked why I didn’t get a response, I was told that they don’t respond because so many people raise concerns and their concerns are not founded! What a great reason to not give customer serviceRaise your game Funbridge!!!
New upgrades are disastrous

This app used to be great up until October 2020 - it was quick, easy to get an overview of everything. Now card playing is slowed down by useless graphics, also cards and HCP font are smaller, it says Argine where it doesn’t have to and lights up every time a card is played. Notifications used to be quick lines - now spaced out and takes longer to read. All these new unnecessary slow-ups and distractions. I’m no longer interested in subscribing
