App is ok but needs improvement

I think the app is ok but I found it clunky to navigate and a little basic. The developers need to look at other accommodation apps to get some ideas from the them.
A few things needing improvement:
1) when I pick the date I also want to know the day of the week I’m picking. I know it’s possible because the Apple Calendar shows the day as well as the date.
2) when looking at the map it tells me the price but not the name of the park. I’m unlikely to pick by price but more by location. I need the name of the park so I can then click on the park name in the list below the map to get more info.
3) when my dates are not available, it doesn’t tell me the next available date. It makes me put in date after date until I find a date available. That’s useless and very time consuming. It needs to show a monthly calendar showing dates available and dates booked out.
4) if I pick a park I want to be able to see what’s available at the park. I expect to be able to see photos of the reception, the pool, the camp kitchen, the ablution blocks, a map layout of the park. I couldn’t seem to find any of this. I had to go to WikiCamps to see more photos and get proper reviews as the app doesn’t have enough info. Plz add more photos.

That’s it for a start. It will be good if these things can be fixed quickly as I like these parks and would like to use the app.

G’day ‘Where to travel next’, a big thanks for your very considered feedback and suggested solutions to some of the challenges you have experienced. We are constantly looking at ways to make improvements to the App and will continue to make revisions and upgrades based on user feedback, and such suggestions assist in prioritising this work. Useful but unreliable app

When trying to book via the app a list of parks appears with prices, when I click on any, they all say “no accommodation available”. I check on gday website and it is available.
This has been happening for weeks now. Makes booking frustrating.

No worth the money

We recently traveled from Perth wa to tip cape York and back we tried to use GDay parks as we are members. we were traveling with others and wanted to stay together, web site dose not allow for this so tried making booking by phone or email, they do not answer phone or respond to emails in a timely manner, so very difficult to deal with. Even when you have managed to reserve sites the will change them at will I booked Cains 3 months in advance on Arrival gave us an envelope with instructions
Not the site we booked. We were placed in overflow and expected to run power leads across the concrete road, were also placed on non adjoining site that was stipulated when booking. Many other issues in other parks as well
We will not be renewing or using gday in the future

G'day cookie977, we're sorry you're experiencing difficulties in your travels. The website and app currently does not support group bookings or site selection. As parks within the G'day network are individually owned, each would have their own policy when it comes to guests' site assignment.
