Welcome to a self-playing comedy game about gods, heroes, and lack of subordination. Want to be a deity? A hero of yours is totally ready to ignore your wishes.
It's a parody take on MMORPG and levelling. Here you can do literally nothing, while your character progresses on his own, writing a story on the go. Or you could show this mortal your will and control him (unsuccessfully). Either way, it'll be lots of fun. And puns. Lots of them.
The game requires persistent internet connection.

A peculiar premise, but it works
Godville is a game you don't play. Well, not in the conventional sense. You play the role of a personal diety to an adventuring hero. Your control over the hero is limited in that they act fairly autonomously. There's no intense grinding, the hero does that. But there is definitely scope to influence what happens, and occasionally, that influence is decisive.
Despite the lack of direct control, there's plenty to keep you entertained. The game is built around humour & wordplay, with puns figuring prominently. There's considerable complexity in the hero's development & the gameplay process. There are social elements that become available as your hero advances. Its definitely a peculiar premise for a game and for me, its been enjoyable & entertaining.
It's nearly 2018 and it's still the best
This game is a app someone should own by default.
This game is the best way to kill boredom when you don't wanna put effort in.
The hero explores on his own, and you're the God who can give out commands, help encourage or punish your hero. This impacts the direction your hero goes.
So while your hero does all the work, you can sit back and throw in a guidance here and there to direct your hero.
Another large attraction to this game would be how pun filled and humour filled it is, the items you get are always sarcastic and the hero always writes something that contains at least one pun.
Don't expect any graphics, but expect to be the god of a hero on his own quest.

It’s just right.
It’s been 4 years and 8 months since me and Polenski first came together. My little guy who believes in me.
The reason why I like the game is that it’s sweet, funny and just nice to see an adventurer go about believing in you.
This game is something that’s been on off. I get a new phone and forget about it. But I always come back, i always enjoy Polenski and his travels and I never get tired of it.
Thank you Dev for making this. 4 years and 8 months? We can go higher!
