Find Gold locations Close by or Australia wide. Gemstone maps and Resource maps are now included. Now With Over 500,000 Data points!
Have you ever wondered if there were gold deposits nearby? Or love a weekend fossick? With Gold Maps you can take the guess work out of searching.
With data compiled from all the relevant state resource authorities we have combined all of this into one map that covers the whole of Australia.
All of the historical mines are there along with known alluvial deposits and current mines. Gem maps included with some states and resource maps for all states.
With thousands of place marks all over Australia you will never run out of gold bearing ground for life.
*Be careful around old mines and diggings. Always take a buddy and stay clear of old open mine shafts. If target locations are present on private property respect the owners and never wonder on un announced. Most owners will let you kick around but some will not. Legal issues can arise if this isn't taken into consideration. Also check you states legislation regarding mining methods and bag limits.

Good app if was to get more updates
I like the app, and it has led me to two
mines nearly dead on
1) if you use search nothing returns: No keywords, no mine names, no town names.
2) Need to be able to copy and save waypoints .
A great deal of effort was done to input the data. Although lacks a few features.
I originally bought this app on my phone (Samsung) and thought it would be much better to view on my iPad (easier to use) but the phone seems to have more details about the locations and also switching to google maps it gives me instant directions to each site, whereas switching on the iPad only shows me the map of the location; which is still usable but so much easier and more productive to use the phone as it makes it easier to plan trips instantly knowing distances and travel times, so can switch from one location to another with ease. Just wish the iPad was as user friendly as my phone, still a great data base either way especially in Queensland where maps seem to be lacking on gold unlike other states.
More map choices
Great app, unfortunately it’s stuck in satellite mode on the map. This makes it hard to figure out where some national parks and state forests collide. Would be great if the map choices were improved.
