Should be linked to google maps
Bought this thinking it would work like google maps does when you add pinpoints ,literally google will take you there this doesn’t
Google was free enough said!
Developer Response ,
This is not yet possible on iPhone due to Google maps SDK restrictions. This feature is already enabled on the android version. I expect it to be available in the near future.
App differences
I originally bought this app on my phone (Samsung) and thought it would be much better to view on my iPad (easier to use) but the phone seems to have more details about the locations and also switching to google maps it gives me instant directions to each site, whereas switching on the iPad only shows me the map of the location; which is still usable but so much easier and more productive to use the phone as it makes it easier to plan trips instantly knowing distances and travel times, so can switch from one location to another with ease. Just wish the iPad was as user friendly as my phone, still a great data base either way especially in Queensland where maps seem to be lacking on gold unlike other states.
Found app to be a little lacking
For NSW the app lists various mine sites. The app does not give you the option of navigating to a selected point (mine). It does have the lat / long pop up in a dialogue box in decimal degrees but long is only to three decimal places. QLD and Vic have 5 to 8 decimal places. Why is it cut back in NSW , that will introduce a large error if navigating on foot, given some locations are in dense bushland the more accurate the better.
