An Awesome Find

So glad I took a chance on the 30 day free trial. I’ve been a bit addicted to listening to Dan Snow and his visitors while driving, cleaning the bathroom room, folding washing etc😆 Even our kids have been listening! Love how Dan facilitates discussions and often asks the questions I’m wondering about. Also love how he relates history to the individual’s experience. My favourite so far was a podcast, “How Should We Remember WW2?”. Unique ideas, very interesting content and an informed and articulate guest. What a gift. Highly, highly recommend.

Categories and subcategories, please!

I'm on my second, possibly third, subscription over more than a couple of years, now, and am again remembering why I keep unsubscribing:
1. Every video starts automatically when we have just clicked to see the description, which is an annoyance but not as fundamentally problematic as;
2. the Explore/browse functions are devoid of menus with categories and subcategories to allow us to make sense of our options.
Sure, you present us with rows and rows of various compilations over which we have no choice, as Netflix and the others do, but yours seems to use an algorithm based on "just show all the things", rather than on any previous viewing. When the algorithms fail us on other streaming services, we can turn to menus based on categories, then subcategories that we can use to filter down what we want to watch. And there is so much I'd love to watch, but without an exact title to search, it's closed to me.

Netflix for History

History Hit truely is the “Netflix for History” and should be every history lovers first stop for history. I am a loyal listener to the Podcast and even I was surprised with how good this History Hit streaming service was! History Hit has such an amazing selection of history in such a variety of formats from interviews, documentaries, docodramas and podcasts. Not to mention how cheap it is! I even use it as a resource for teaching my history classes. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone.
