Hotham 17+

Great Simple to use app that is identical to other vail resort apps. Only gripe I have is the gps tracking. I got around 15 days tracked this season with no issue, then gps just gave up. I would be out for a whole day and it would only track a total of one run with straight lines not even on any runs in the map. A bit annoying to have gps tracking at a resort but not gps service to use it. Then the app went and deleted all of my tracked runs with all the stats still being posted to the leaderboard. Overall a good app that does the job, however looking at snow cams on the website, the website shows more snow cams. The summit 360 cam and Hoff hut livestream are both online but not in the app?

Love the new road alert feature but bring back information on the road conditions please. It’s annoying that I need to go to the Hotham website or Facebook page to determine if chains are being fitted and to what type of vehicle. It would also be really useful to know at which chain bay chains are being fitted, if cars are being convoyed, and expected drive time from Harrietville to Hotham Village. I understand this can change but this information can assist when planning the drive up to the resort.

The 2021 version was great, tried the 2022 version and straight off it’s aesthetically less pleasing with the black black interface coupled with possibly the least intuitive app in which to navigate I’ve ever come across. Joining groups and sending your tracking details last year was easy and worked every day. We’ve been up 11 days this year so far and not once has the app provided location details of anyone except for the odd (43 minutes ago) tag next to their name. The weather and snow report doesn’t update reliably and is incredibly slow in doing so. As Regurgitator said, I like your old stuff better than your new stuff
