Total Disappointment Paywall Nightmare
I rarely write reviews, but "House of Power" is such a frustrating and money-grabbing experience that I felt compelled to warn others. The game gives you a measly handful of turns before forcing you to wait 45 minutes to play again, unless you pay for their overpriced subscription or endure watching five ads. And if you think you can progress after enduring this, think again!
After just three rounds, the in-game currency is drained due to the terrible mechanics, which clearly aim to push you to spend more money. The game is designed to be a frustrating cash grab, leaving players with no choice but to pay if they want to make any meaningful progress. Avoid this game unless you enjoy endless waiting and being nickel-and-dimed at every turn.
Good concept wasted
This could easily have been a REALLY addictive game for me and other political nerds.
This was, however, a huge disappointment and immediately turns into a ridiculous cash grab. I don’t mind games with a set number of turns - but even when you watch all the ads - this thing doesn’t work… and you still basically end up at the same point and needing money.
Thing is - just having an upgraded pack, instead of just paying for basic gameplay - would have earned decent money AND good WoM, instead they’ve created a game people really wanted to play, but no one wants to.
Promising, fresh idea- but avoid!!!!
Even after paying for a premium pass after 3 turns I hit a paywall and couldn’t progress at all without having to spend money on currency to continue. Totally blatant cash grabbing scam of a game. At least make it fun developers! At least allow ways of earning currency in game! If I could give it zero stars I would! FRUSTRATING AND FRAUDULENT!! This is not a game, it’s basically just a way to deposit money directly into the developers pocket!
