Better than Finder but Could use some GUI work
SupremeNemesis
I will admit that I am not overly familiar with the MAC, but I find some things, such as file management is harder than it should be. Enter Commander One. It is a big improvement on the MAC Finder with the small amount of usage that I have had. However, it could use a GUI refresh to make the app more intuitive and modern look and appeal.
Norton Commander is Dead! Long live Commander One!
Bon Dradman
Many people will never know of Norton Commander and what a great tool that was in the early days of personal computing. Fear not! Commander One has risen and does most things that Norton Commander did. Why is it so great? Here are my top 5 features, not in any particular oder: 1) Batch renaming files, using wildcards and regular expressions; 2) Seamlessly moving files across the folder system; 3) Easy access to drives - local and cloud; 4) Built-in file viewer; 5) Breadcrumb file paths.

Still nothing close to MS Windows - which doesn't say much

All I want is something that works half as good as File explorer. Do you think that is too much to ask? I shoudl be able to have all the file's metadata and exif if I want it without having to dig for it and show directory structures in a way I can actually find stuff with out having to go through scroll hell... really. somebody please do that - Commander 1 is maybe better than finder but that should be table stakes and native to an OS - not some app you have to pay for. Duh.
Excellent Finder Replacement
Soul Dysfunction
After using Pathfinder as a Finder replacement for Finder, for some years, I was looking for suitable replacement that was less expensive, and didn't charge a yearly subscription to keep using it. After trying many other options I found Commander One which is the best Finder replacement I have used so far. Highly recommended.
