I love this game - however the latest update doesn’t replenish lives and i can no longer play it - please fix it

After the first ten or so levels it becomes so difficult to finish a level without watching ads for lives or without paying money for extra boosters. It relies on you sending lives to friends to receive some in return. Ends up becoming a chore rather than something fun.
