I was pretty much excited to purchase the game in a first place having M3 Ultra Mac Studio I was assuming to have fantastic experience, but then I realised that it doesn’t work with latest OS Tahoe, which was disappointing as there were no mention of OS compatibility, I am expecting the support and Dev team to action on this ASAP, until then you only get 1 star!

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this game is amazing on PC and console but I feel like I was decieved with the advertising:(It says that the app is compatible with my MacBook Pro, though when I spent around $90 on this game, the game doesn't open:(I beg for the developers to get back to me and this issue:)Please make this compatible for my M1 Mac:)

Lincoln Clay’s story could’ve unfolded as a cliche tale of revenge, but developer Hangar 13 dove past the superficial level to deliver a story rife with social commentary on post-Vietnam America and filled it with three-dimensional characters who I’ve grown to either genuinely care about or really want to see dead. I loved the way the story hops between the events you play, a deposition centered around the ramifications of your actions, and a faux-documentary where the incredibly well written and acted Father James talks about his time with Lincoln. It’s setting, New Bordeaux, a fictionalized take on New Orleans in 1968, is full of diverse architecture and nature. From Mardi Gras parades and above-ground cemeteries to bayous filled with gators and riverboat gambling tours, it took me to some settings I can’t recall ever exploring in a video game before. Along with this are some pretty heavy themes consistent with the era, Mafia III does not shy away from dealing with racism and what America was like in the fallout of the Vietnam War, but all of it is done smartly with tact and in ways that affect gameplay. All of this is only heightened by the fantastic soundtrack, which does as good of a job at delivering a sense of time and place as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City did for the ‘80s. The Rolling Stones, Sam Cooke, and Creedence Clearwater Revival all add to Mafia’s already incredible atmosphere.Now, while many players have reported bugs within the game, I myself have experinced none, the missions run seamlessly and provide a cohesive narrative for me to waste my life doing…however, we should also touch on the subject of poor optimisation that specifcally PC players experienced. Aspyr Media seems to have taken care of that with the Mac OS Port, with the game running on medium settings, 1680 by 1050 with V-synce and anti-aliasing all turned on. By using these I achieve an enjoyable 40 to 50 FPS experience, with intense action scenes only dropping it down to around 25 FPS on my base model 2017 15 inch MacBook Pro. It should also be noted that while travelling or staying places without a powersource, you can still gain a fun 3 hours of gameplay before the laptop decrease to 10% and suggests you connect to an external power source. Overall, I reccomend you definitely purchase this game as well as it’s DLC as it is something you would not want to miss out on! Thanks Aspyr for bringing another great game to a Mac OS! :)
