When I was in search of a platform to find penpals, I searched all across the internet for a legitimate website / app; and then I came across SLOWLY. I have to say that I love the fact that you have an avatar instead of a photo of yourself, you can also collect stamps, as well as wait in real time for letters to arrive. This app is genius! Nonetheless, recently I’ve been having this problem, whenever I go back into the app, I get presented with ‘system error’; hence, I can’t check any of my new mail, nor send any letters out. Please fix this up! It’s really frustrating. Yet, overall, I highly recommend this app if you’re looking for a more private method of finding a penpal.

Edit: Thank you for working on the app, much fewer instances of errors now! The app still has some issues with real-time updates, but again, much better than before! I was also wondering if it might be possible to develop a Mac computer version of the app? I think it may allow for even more people to use the app, and I would be excited to see the beautiful interface adapted for Mac!!First review:I love this Slowly and its concept. I’ve been using it since February 2018, before the recent update. The interface hasn’t changed too much, and I like how it is, but there have been a lot more errors recently, and the app doesn’t update in real time. For example, if someone has sent off a letter, i receive a notification about it, but it doesn’t appear on my list of incoming letters unless I clear the app and restart it again. If you could please fix this, it would be greatly appreciated! It’s quite frustrating when I love this app so much!

They won’t even let you be anonymous and you have you pick how your avatar looks and yet this company thinks that catering to trans for example is being “inclusive”. You people who made this app don’t think that trans don’t want to be anonymous like everyone else, as if they’re some freak alien race? How to say “I’m American without saying it” I don’t need to choose how my avatar looks when it’s clearly made that I must choose. I just want to be anonymous. In my country that is multicultural, I have never felt the need to choose avatars or emojis on my colour and look despite being Samoan. Just you Americans seem so racist to think it’s so important that I have to think about how I look when I don’t feel this way in my country that I was born in. That’s why you people say African Americans when not all black people come from Africa. Asian Americans, you people don’t even know there are people who look Asian who are Russian, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Horrible country who pretends to be understanding and not ignorant of people when they’re the epitome of virtue signalling
