Thanks for using Plan to Eat!
Plan to Eat has been a game changer for me. I have been a subscriber for years now and find it worth every cent as it makes planning and shopping for the weekly meals a breeze. You can build your recipe library easily as you import recipes from literally anywhere including websites and photos which means you don’t have to type them up. Once you add them to the planner you can then switch to the shopping tab and voilà your shopping list is there for you ready to check off as you go. There are many other features that takes it to the next level, including the ability to add extra food to the shopping list, adding and removing meals to and from the freezer inventory and the optional ability to track nutritional values or recipe costs as well. The convenience of this app saves me so much money as weeks that I don’t use it I tend to spend more money on groceries so I would say it is a great investment and the app earns its keep!
Best meal planning app I’ve found!

I have tested out a few meal planning apps and PTE is the best one I’ve used, hands down. I cook a lot from recipe books, so I usually need to add recipes manually, which takes some time. BUT once you’ve taken the time to do this, planning is such a breeze. I used to dread sitting down and using an hour or more of my precious weekend time to plan out my meals and shopping for the week, but knowing now it will take less than 10 mins has been a game changer. The best part is the ease of creating and using the shopping list. This app has recently helped me drop 9kg in 5weeks because I’ve been following a strict diet and it’s allowed me to organise my time well enough to keep on track and see results. In a perfect world they would build a scan function into the app so you could upload recipes from books and convert the info but I know this could be a stretch. LOVE IT, 12/10.
Amazing

Plan To Eat has been such a big help to our weekly meal planning. As a family with both parents working sometimes the hardest decision is what to have for dinner after a busy day. Plan To Eat takes all the guess work out and let’s you be creative with meal selection on the weekend so weekday meals are easy. The platform is so easy to follow and shopping list function is just amazing. Once we have planned for the week we just check off the ingredients we already have in the pantry then end up with a streamlined list to go shopping. It not only saves us time and money but the kids can get involved too. They love the easy to follow recipe steps.
What did they do!
Nonnicruising
I have been using plan to eat for years now, I started on their desktop site. Lately the search function starts searching for your recipe while your still typing this actually slows it all down. Please just make it so that it searches when I hit the search button. Speaking of slow the app is getting slower and slower. I know have over 1000 recipes saved but it should not slow down performing basic functions. Also when importing a recipe from the internet I hit save and then try to view it, it appears as though it wasn’t saved at all and the app effectively hangs itself with the spinning logo. So I do it again with the same results, it takes me about three tries to successfully import a recipe even having to delete and reload the app. Then later I will find I actually have the recipe saved 5 times over.I wish you guys would fix these issues! I really do not want to find another meal planning app but the more frustrated I am with it the more that is looking like my only option.

Hi! We appreciate this feedback! In the time since this review, recipe saving is now working and we have it on our development timeline to review the search feature in the App. We hope this helps your situation! If you need assistance, please contact us at help@plantoeat.com
- Tab navigation got a fresh look and feel!
- We added a button to expand or collapse all recipe sections with one tap (next to Filters).
- You can once again open Cook View straight from a planned recipe.
- Menu events accurately report the day/date planned, and prep reminders name the recipe they belong to.
- Fixed an Android issue that left half the screen empty.
- Fixed a performance issue causing slow or freezing behavior on the Cook tab.
