Thanks again, but why only 4 stars? 😅
Doesn’t work.

Trying to read my Kirby Amiibo, the app beeps and vibrates my phone when I pressed the read button which looked like a WiFi logo, but nothing is showing up on the screen. It does remind me to rate and review after a few tries. So here I am, rating it. It did on one occasion gave me a read error. Just in case. My Kirby Amiibo reads fine using NFC Tools app. So, either the app is ‘broken’ or just bad use interface.Update: this app doesn’t read Amiibo, but is able to read NFC tags with simple data. Still, bad app design. Should let the user know what’s supported and what’s not.
Developer Response
Hello divding77,unfortunately I have never tried what happens when you scan an Amiibo. As you found out, the app is to write and read short messages to NFC tags. From my research I found out that on an Amiibo there is no NDEF message and I found a problem in my code with that. I will provide some information in a future version, so that you can see something when scanning an Amiibo. I also acknowledge that I could make it more clear what my app is intended to do. I will work on that. Thanks for pointing that out.But what bothers me is that you yell here into the AppStore telling me that I did a bad job. I already have a lot of possibilities to contact me inside the app and I wished you used that instead of giving a one star review. I'm just a human behind an app that tries to make something that people find useful. I'm happy to get some feedback via mail or Twitter from you in the future and I wish that you reconsider your rating here on the AppStore.Thank you
Best NFC reader on the App Store, but…
G0LDEN420
This is genuinely a really good NFC tag reader and writer. It works well, has great debugging, and gives the user all the information needed and more. The only issues I have with this are:- Premium Lifetime Price is too high ($100)- Whilst the app name says “RFID”, this app cannot interact with RFID tags, only NFC.- The “help” page mentions a “background mode” meaning the user can run certain commands using NFC without needing an app, for example, connecting to a Wifi Network using an NFC tag. While there is a mention of a background mode, there is not one I can find in the app, might be a premium only feature, but it’s not stated in the feature list of premium. Other than that, a few UI tweaks and some QoL changes, and this will be an S tier app.
Doesn’t work
HouseWhip
I’ve tried to use the nfc write and feature, which doesn’t work. Google review nfc link doesn’t work either. Tried to get a refund but denied. Love that I paid $60 for an app I can’t use. Also says there’s a 5 times per day use limit(after I pressed it 5 times, cause it didn’t work)?? Even though I had paid for a subscription!
Developer Response
Hello, I’m sorry for your bad experience but please reach out to me via the contact form in the app. Here I can’t really help you. I just tested the Google Review Link feature and it works as intended. Could it be that you use some ad or DNS blocker? That often blocks Google traffic which is needed here.Edit: no response from your side so far, I’m here to help! Reach out to me via https://nfc.cool/contact
