Private and on-device. - Text labels: real, editable text with advanced styling and custom font support - Notebook covers: design your own bespoke covers, including material, binding, pattern, colour and more - Stickers: drag anything you’ve drawn into the panel to make it a sticker - Real paper: textures, aged effects, torn edges and line ruling you can endlessly tune to your taste - Duplicate documents, Single Page mode, a better library, Siri and Shortcuts support We’ll share more about these massive new features in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can talk to our team at flow@bonobolabs.com

Oh snap, it's a new update for Flow and it's all about making straight lines and perfect shapes. Actually, it's not all about that, there is a bunch of other cool stuff too like a brand new brush tool and updated Tool Designer. Here's what's new: - Snap perfect lines and shapes. Flow can now detect what you've just drawn and turn it into a perfect straight line or shape. After drawing a stroke, simply hold still for a brief moment without lifting up. Flow detects straight lines, curved lines, rectangles (including squares), circles, ellipses, and triangles. Nearly straight lines snap to perfectly straight and let you drag the end point around, snapping to horizontal and vertical as you get close. You can even enable a menu that pops up to add arrows and dots to the ends of your lines. Find the preferences in the Drawing and Gestures settings. - Redesigned ruler. The ruler now comes in two modes: Simple and Technical. The new Simple ruler puts a ruler object on the page that you can drag around, rotate with two fingers, and draw along its edges. Tap the magnet icon to snap rotation to 5 degree increments, or tap the rotation handle to set it perfectly horizontal or vertical. The previous design lives on as Technical mode. - New Flat Brush tool. Similar to the round brush pen, but with a wide flat brush tip that can be rotated and a more pronounced faded edge. - Updated Tool Designer. The Tool Setup screen is now the Tool Designer, with a new interface that lets you choose the size, opacity and color to try out on the scratch pad as you fine tune your preferences. - Better eyedropper. It now does a better job of picking the right color you drag over, with a new setting for grabbing the exact color on the page or the original tool color, and a new one finger press + draw gesture to bring it up. - New stroke width fluctuation model. Strokes now vary in width organically with a more natural feel that stays consistent at any zoom level, adjustable in the Tool Designer. - New stroke fade control. Choose how a tool fades in and out as you draw with it, in the Tool Designer. - New menu for Fun Options. There is a new menu on the main menu just for the fun things. What are the fun things, you ask? Take a look. Got a fun idea to add to Flow? Let us know!

This release squashes a rendering bug that could make strokes flicker or briefly glitch while you draw. Small update, big difference. Details below. Fixes - Fixed a bug where strokes could flicker or momentarily look garbled while drawing during long sessions, caused by the canvas reading a stroke before it had finished updating. - Made drawing more stable during fast, continuous note-taking, especially on busy pages with lots of strokes. This release fixes pesky bugs that surfaced in the previous update, with a few little improvements too. Details below. Fixes - Fixed pen dock and pen editor positions when rotating iPad. - Fixed an issue with tapping the dropdown menu on the ruler when using Apple Pencil. Timelapse - Fixed a bug that caused timelapse export to fail to render sometimes. - New mode picker: choose between total duration or strokes per frame. - The view now moves smoothly when following strokes during a timelapse. Stroke Eraser - Fixed a bug where the stroke eraser appeared to erase strokes that weren't actually removed. - Fixed a bug where undoing erased strokes could sometimes cause a rift in the time space continuum. Also - When you're changing size, opacity, or pen type, the control you're adjusting now shows more detail on the bubble that pops up. - Tuned airbrush to improve blending. - Updated layer hide icon to a more visually distinct icon. With the new Flow drawing engine now live, this update brings a bunch of great interface improvements to go along with it. Snappier menus and cool new features like resizable panels, a better way to choose pen sizes, and a handy scratchpad. Questions? Talk to us at flow@bonobolabs.com Here's what's new: Drag and resize the Pen Dock Move the Pen Dock anywhere by its grip, or drag near the bottom to snap it horizontal. A new resize bar makes it as tiny or as big as you like, and overflow tools and pens scroll together. Drag the Pen Editor anywhere The Pen Editor moves anywhere too, and snaps to the top rotated horizontally. A new pen size picker The size picker is now more of a slider than a wheel. All sizes are visible at once, so it's faster to choose. Scratchpad for testing tools A new button turns the area around the Pen Editor into a place to scribble and try the current pen. Quick share from a Lasso Knife selection The selection's floating panel has a new export button: copy, save to Photos, AirDrop, or send anywhere. Resizable Colour Palette Drag from the corner to choose how many swatches are visible. A softer Correction Pen Three new softness settings let you choose how gentle or sharp the edge is. Smoother collection browsing Browsing your collections is much smoother, and you can tap a collection name to rename it. Faster, restyled menus and screens Dock Options, Layer Options and the mini colour picker pop up instantly. Document Setup and Export are restyled so options are easier to find. Some other little things: - Updated button icons throughout the app - Colour swatches now use squircles - Filled-circle eraser hover indicator - Top menus hide individually when drawing near them - The floating selection menu sits above other panels - The iPhone top menu is split so you see more of the page

It's pretty cold in Canada where our lead Flow engineer Adam has been rebuilding the Flow drawing engine from the ground up. It's been a mammoth effort but he's emerged with some truly amazing results which will unlock the next generation of Flow features. And right now you get to enjoy the first big thing: a huge new leap in performance. Questions? Talk to us at flow@bonobolabs.com (we're human). Here's what's new for you: - Blazing fast page loading. Pages load so fast now that it's actually taken us a bit of time to get used to it. Is that irony? We aren't entirely sure. The important thing is no more waiting as you move around your document. - Super responsive drawing. The tools now work even faster than we thought possible. It really does feel like ink is flowing out as fast as you can write and draw. - Buttery smooth panning. Panning around documents in this new engine is so smooth it's simply a joy. - Zoom in way, way further. You can now zoom in 10 times further than before. - More accurate selecting and erasing. The lasso and eraser tools now work much more precisely, so it's easier to draw around or remove just the strokes you want. - Better drawing resolution. The page now displays at full resolution all the time, so you'll no longer see unsightly changes in resolution as you draw new strokes. This could happen before, especially with tools like the crayon. - Sharper background patterns. Grids, dots and lines now stay crisp no matter how far in you go. - Better correction pen. This tool now has a better edge, supports layers, and with Apple Pencil shows a live preview of how it will erase. The page scrubber has been removed. A new way to see and manage the pages of your documents is coming soon.

The menus feel lighter and more flexible, giving you more room to create. • Floating top menu: The main menu now hovers above your page so your canvas fills the entire screen. • Expanded Menu option: In "Interface Options" you can toggle "Show Expanded Menu" on or off. When it is on, buttons like "Layers", "Sharing", "Export" and "Import" are shown across the middle of the screen for quick access. When it is off, those buttons are available from the drop down menu at the top left of the screen. • Liquid Glass design: Panels can now match your document’s Paper color, switch to Black, or use Liquid Glass. With Liquid Glass the interface melts away even more as you see through it to your canvas. Adjust tint, frosting, and shadows in "Interface Options". • Command Menu on iPad: Swipe down from the top of the screen to quickly access common features. • Enhanced windowing on iPad: With OS26 you can now resize and position Flow windows more precisely for better multitasking. And in case you missed it: • Crayon tool: A new drawing tool that gives your lines a textured, hand-drawn feel. It is fun to sketch with and perfect for adding personality to your notes and illustrations. Find it at the bottom of the Tool Editor. • Reference Images: Pin an image above your page as a temporary overlay for inspiration or notes. Use it to trace details, match proportions, or pull out colors. Drop in images from other apps or tap the Add button in the top menu. Flow will automatically show key colors from the image, which you can tap to use with your current tool or import to your palette.
